Digital anything is supposed to make our lives easier.

And for those who thrive on digital formats, I envy you. The digital platform is convenient and portable. Sometimes, just knowing your entire world is with you at the palm of your hands is a relief.

But can “too much convenience” be a bad thing?

For me it was. I used to believe that if “more (information) is better”, a crap load must be good. It wasn’t the case for me.

I found myself constantly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of emails, notifications and text messages that I was receiving and attempting to respond to.

Multitasking had become a part of my routine, but it left me feeling scattered and unproductive.

That’s when I realized that sometimes, less is more.

Digital minimalism became a goal. It progressed into exploring the benefits of being an analogue.

I was amazed at how much calmer I felt when I made an effort to take a break from my devices. This peace allowed me to focus on quality over quantity.

This is the paradox of choice.

We have so many options in the digital world, it’s hard to know which ones are best for us.

I learned that by focusing on a few high quality items and activities, I was able to create much more meaningful experiences.
